Use 2 tbsp ragi flour if you want to prepare thin ragi malt and use 3 tbsp if you want to prepare thick ragi malt. Adjust the jaggery as per your taste. You can skip the jaggery if you are diabetic. You can substitute jaggery with any other sweetner like sugar, palm sugar dry fruits etc., Optionally you can top the ragi malt with chopped nuts, cardamom powder and little ghee.
This ragi malt is a kids friendly recipe. It helps in reducing the body heat. If you are suffering from mouth ulcer, indigestion or constipation..then I would say this is a super food. By increasing the ragi flour quantity you can even make ragi porridge by following this recipe. Ragi porridge is a very healthy food for babies.
