Since mung dal or green gram dal takes less time to soak, we can say this is a real instant dosa. The whole recipe takes just 20 minutes. 15 minutes to soak, 5 minutes to grind and make the dosas.

    Mung dal or hesaru bele dose recipe

    Preparation time: 20 min
    Cooking time: 10 min
    Serves: 3

    Ingredients: (measuring cup used = 240ml)

    1. 1 cup moong dal or green gram dal
    2. 1/4 cup rice flour
    3. 1/2 " length ginger
    4. 1 - 2 green chili
    5. A big pinch asafoetida or 1/2 tsp cumin seeds
    6. 2 tbsp coriander leaves
    7. 2 tbsp grated coconut
    8. Salt as per your taste

    Instructions for making mung dal dosa or hesaru bele dose:

    1. Rinse and soak 1 cup of mung dal or green gram dal for minimum duration of 15 minutes.Soak green gram dal for mung dal dosa or hesaru bele dose
    2. Meantime chop the coriander leaves, green chili, ginger and grate the coconut.spices for mung dal dosa or hesaru bele dose
    3. After 15 minutes drain the water and transfer the mung dal into a mixie jar.soaked dal in mixer grinder for mung dal dosa or hesaru bele dose
    4. Add in 1/4 cup of rice flour.rice flour for mung dal dosa or hesaru bele dose
    5. Add in ginger, green chili, coriander leaves and coconut.spices for mung dal dosa or hesaru bele dose
    6. Add in required water and grind until smooth. It shall have regular dosa batter consistency.smooth batter for mung dal dosa or hesaru bele dose or pancharatna dosa
    7. Add in salt and asafoetida (or cumin seeds).salt and asafoetida for mung dal dosa or hesaru bele dose
    8. Heat the pan, pour the batter and make thin dosas. Close the lid. Drizzle oil or ghee from top.making mung dal dosa or hesaru bele dose
    9. Open the lid. Drizzle oil or ghee from top.making mung dal dosa or hesaru bele dose or pancharatna dosa
