Godhi hittina unde or wheat flour ladoo recipe explained with step by step pictures and a video. Godi hittu unde or atta laddu is prepared using wheat flour, jaggery and little ghee. This wheat flour ladoo or godhi unde is a simple form of tambittu and is a very easy and tasty ladoo.

Godhi hittina unde recipe

Preparation time: 10 min
Cooking time: 10 min
Serves: 10 - 12 no

Ingredients: (measuring cup used = 240ml)

  1. 1 cup wheat flour or godhi hittu
  2. 3/4 cup jaggery
  3. 1/2 cup water
  4. 3 tsp thick ghee (Extra 2 tsp can be added)
  5. 2 - 3 tbsp broken cashews
  6. 2 cardamom (or big pinch)

Instructions for making godhi hittina unde:

  1. Heat ghee in a frying pan.ghee for godhi hittina unde or wheat flour ladoo
  2. Add in broken cashews and roast until slightly brown.cashews for godhi hittina unde or wheat flour ladoo
  3. Add in wheat flour and start roasting under medium flame.wheat flour for godhi hittina unde or wheat flour ladoo
  4. Roast until slightly brown and you get nice roasted aroma.roasted wheat flour for godhi hittina unde or wheat flour ladoo
  5. Transfer it into a wide container and add in cardamom powder.cardamom powder for godhi hittina unde or wheat flour ladoo
  6. In the same pan, take 3/4 cup powdered jaggery and 1/2 cup of water. Keep it for boiling.jaggery and water for godhi hittina unde or wheat flour ladoo
  7. Stir often until jaggery dissolves. Let it boil with lot of bubbles. No need to wait or check the consistency. Just switch off the stove.jaggery syrup for godhi hittina unde or wheat flour ladoo
  8. Pour the jaggery syrup over the roasted wheat flour.roasted flour and jaggery syrup for godhi hittina unde or wheat flour ladoo
  9. Give a good mix.ladoo mix for godhi hittina unde or wheat flour ladoo
  10. Wait until excess heat is reduced and start making ladoos.making godhi hittina unde or wheat flour ladoo
