Instant menthe soppu dose recipe

Preparation time: 5 hrs
Cooking time: 30 min
Serves: 2

Ingredients: (measuring cup used = 240ml)

  1. 1 cup rice flour
  2. 1 medium sized bunch methi leaves
  3. 1/2 cup thin poha or avalakki
  4. 2 tsp rasam powder
  5. 1/2 - 1 tsp red chilli powder
  6. A small marble sized tamarind
  7. 1 tsp jaggery (optional)
  8. Salt as per your taste
  9. 4 tsp cooking oil or ghee.

Instructions for making instant menthe soppu dose:

  1. To begin with pick and rinse the methi leaves.methi leaves for menthe soppu dose or methi leaves dosa
  2. Next finely chop the methi or fenugreek leaves.chopped methi leaves for menthe soppu dose or methi leaves dosa
  3. Take thin poha or avalakki in a small bowl and rinse it. thin poha for menthe soppu dose or methi leaves dosa
  4. Mash it well, add in required water and make a paste.thin poha paste for menthe soppu dose or methi leaves dosa
  5. In another container, take rice flour, rasam powder and red chilli powder.rice flour and rasam powder for menthe soppu dose or methi leaves dosa

  7. Add in prepared avalakki or thin poha paste.thin poha for menthe soppu dose or methi leaves dosa
  8. Add in a cup of water and prepare the batter.batter for menthe soppu dose or methi leaves dosa
  9. Add in chopped methi leaves.methi leaves for menthe soppu dose or methi leaves dosa
  10. Give a quick mix, add in required water and prepare a thick batter.batter for menthe soppu dose or methi leaves dosa
  11. Heat the pan, smear the oil and prepare dose.making menthe soppu dose or methi leaves dosa
  12. Close the lid and cook it for 10 - 15 seconds.cooking menthe soppu dose or methi leaves dosa
  13. Next open the lid, drizzle some oil or ghee. Coconut oil tastes good.oil for soppu dose or methi leaves dosa
