Onion bonda or eerulli bonda is prepared using onion, gram flour, rice flour, red chilli powder, curry leaves, carom seeds, cumin seeds, curry leaves, ginger and asafoetida. Onion bonda or eerulli unde pakoda are deep fried onion fritters. I have another cabbage pakoda or kosu vade recipe on this website, which is another tasty deep fried snacks.

This onion bonda recipe is similar to onion pakoda recipe with few changes. However the the onion bonda tastes very different than onion pakoda. Try this tasty, crispy and easy snack on this weekend and enjoy with a cup of tea. I love onion and If you also love onion like me, then you must check my this onion dosa post.

I have shared many tips to prepare crispy onion or eerulli bonda. The key factor to get crispy pakoda or bajji is, not to add too much of water while preparing the dough. Either no water or very minimum water would be sufficient.
