Instant jowar paddu or jolada hittina guliyappa recipe explained with step by step pictures and a video. This jowar paniyaram or appe or gundponglu batter is prepared using jowar flour, medium rava, curd, onion, green chilli, cumin seeds, curry leaves and coriander leaves. It is turns out tasty and it can be prepared in just 10 minutes. This instant paddu can be served with plain coconut chutney or any other chutney of your choice.

Instant jolada paddu recipe

Preparation time: 14 hours
Cooking time: 30 min
Serves: 4

Ingredients: (measuring cup used = 240ml)

  1. 1 cup jowar flour or jolada hittu
  2. 1/2 cup rava
  3. 1/4 cup curd
  4. 1.5 cups water
  5. Oil for cooking
  6. 1/2 tsp suagr
  7. Salt as per your taste
  8. 1 onion chopped
  9. 1 tbsp chopped coriander leaves
  10. 1 tbsp chopped curry leaves
  11. 1 green chilli chopped
  12. 1/2 tsp cumin seeds
  13. 1/4 tsp cooking soda

Instructions for making instant joalda paddu:

  1. Take jowar flour, rava, salt and sugar in a bowl.jowar flour and rava for instant jowar paddu or jolada paddu
  2. Give a quick mix.flours for instant jowar paddu or jolada paddu
  3. Add the curd.curd for instant jowar paddu or jolada paddu
  4. Add the water.water for instant jowar paddu or jolada paddu
  5. Prepare a lump free batter and rest it for 10 minutes.batter for instant jowar paddu or jolada paddu
  6. Add in chopped onion, curry leaves, coriander leaves, green chilli and cumin seeds.onion, curry leaves, green chilli and ginger for instant jowar paddu or jolada paddu
  7. Also add in cooking soda.soda for instant jowar paddu or jolada paddu
  8. Give a good mix.batter for instant jowar paddu or jolada paddu
  9. Now heat the guliyappa or paddu pan and put few drops of oil in all the pits. Pour the batter in all the pits.making instant jowar paddu or jolada paddu
  10. Close the lid and allow it to cook under medium flame. Open the lid and drizzle oil on top. Flip the paddus and cook on the other side as well. Take out and serve it with coconut chutney.cooking instant jowar paddu or jolada paddu
