Since mung dal or green gram dal takes less time to soak, we can say this is a real instant dosa. The whole recipe takes just 20 minutes. 15 minutes to soak, 5 minutes to grind and make the dosas.

    Ragi hesaru kaalu dose recipe

    Preparation time: 20 min
    Cooking time: 10 min
    Serves: 3

    Ingredients: (measuring cup used = 240ml)

    1. 1/2 cup moong bean or hesaru kaalu
    2. 1/2 cup ragi
    3. 1/2 cup coconut
    4. 2 - 3 green chillies
    5. Some coriander leaves
    6. 1 cm length ginger
    7. 1 tsp cumin seeds
    8. Salt as per your taste

    Instructions for making ragi hesaru kaalu dose:

    1. Take ragi and green gram (mung bean) in a container.Soak green gram dal for ragi hesaru kalu or mung bean dosa
    2. Rinse them very well 3 - 4 times.soaked mung dal for ragi hesaru kalu or mung bean dosa
    3. And then soak the ragi and mung bean for 4 - 5 hours.soaked mung dal for ragi hesaru kalu or mung bean dosa
    4. Take the soaked ragi and green gram in a mixie jar.rice flour in mixer grinder for ragi hesaru kalu or mung bean dosa
    5. Add in grated coconut and green chillies.coconut for ragi hesaru kalu or mung bean dosa
    6. Also add in coriander leaves, ginger and cumin seeds.spices for ragi hesaru kalu or mung bean dosa
    7. Add in required water and grind until smooth. Add salt as per taste.smooth batter for ragi hesaru kalu or mung bean dosa or pancharatna dosa
    8. Add in required water and prepare batter having thick milkshake consistency.salt and asafoetida for ragi hesaru kalu or mung bean dosa
    9. Heat the pan, pour the batter and make thin dosas.making ragi hesaru kalu or mung bean dosa
    10. Close the lid and cook until done.cooking ragi hesaru kalu or mung bean dosa
    11. Open the lid. Drizzle oil or ghee from top.ghee for ragi hesaru kalu or mung bean dosa or pancharatna dosa
    12. Optionally cook on the other side as well. Fold and take out the dosa. Serve it hot with coconut chutney.ragi hesaru kalu or mung bean dosa on pan
