Khaproli dosa recipe explained with step by step pictures and a video. Khaproli is a soft and spongy dosa recipe generally served with sweet coconut milk. This new dose is prepared using rice, urad dal, gram dal, methi seeds, poha, turmeric and salt. This khaproli soft spongy dosa recipe can be served with coconut milk or any chutney of your choice.

Khaproli dosa recipe

Preparation time: 12 hours
Cooking time: 30 min
Serves: 4

Ingredients for dosa: (measuring cup used = 240ml)

  1. 1.5 cups dosa rice
  2. 1/2 cup urad dal
  3. 1/4 cup chana dal
  4. 1 tsp methi seeds
  5. 1/4 cup thick beaten rice or avalakki
  6. Salt as per your taste

Ingredients for sweet coconut milk: (measuring cup used = 240ml)

  1. 2 cups coconut milk
  2. 1/4 cup powdered jaggery (adjust as per taste)
  3. Big pinch of cardamom powder
  4. Big pinch of salt

Instructions for making khaproli:

  1. In a container, soak the rice for 4 - 5 hours.rice for khaproli soft spongy dosa recipe

  3. Before grinding, soak the poha for 10 minutes.poha for khaproli soft spongy dosa recipe

  7. Next grind the soaked rice into a semi-fine batter by adding required water.soaked rice for khaproli soft spongy dosa recipe
