Aloo paratha or alu parota recipe is prepared by mixing mashed potatoes, spices and wheat flour. There is no stuffing, however it tastes exactly like normal aloo paratha. You can prepare very soft potato chapati by following this recipe.

This aloo paratha is a quick and easy breakfast recipe. You can prepare it for breakfast or light dinner. You can also serve these to kids as evening snacks. This is a very tasty breakfast recipe and is very healthy for growing kids.

No stuffing aloo paratha recipe

Preparation time: 20 min
Cooking time: 15 min
Serves: 8 no

Ingredients for the dough: (measuring cup used = 240ml)

  1. 1 cup wheat flour (depends on the size of potato)
  2. 2 large sized potatoes
  3. 1 tsp finely grated ginger (or ginger paste)
  4. 1 tsp finely grated garlic (or garlic paste)
  5. 2 tbsp finely chopped coriander leaves
  6. tbsp finely chopped curry leaves
  7. 1/2 - 1 tsp red chilli powder
  8. 1/2 tsp garam masala
  9. 1/2 tsp cumin powder
  10. Big pinch of turmeric
  11. 1 tsp salt or as per your taste
  12. 6 - 8 tsp ghee or oil

Instructions for making aloo paratha without stuffing:

  1. Heat 2 tsp of oil in a pan. Fry finely chopped ginger and garlic (or paste). You can skip the garlic and replace it with a big pinch of asafoetida along with the spices in step 3.ginger and garlic for no stuffing aloo paratha recipe
