masale avalakki rotti recipe

Masale avalakki rotti or poha roti recipe explained with step by step pictures and a video. Avalakki rotti or poha roti is very easy to prepare and is very tasty. Aval rotti is prepared using thin poha, rice flour, onion, coconut, cumin seeds, coriander seeds, curry leaves, green chillies and salt. This masale rotti or spicy roti is an instant and healthy breakfast recipe.

I have used thin avalakki or poha in this avalakki rotti recipe. Using thin poha makes rinsing and mashing process easy. However if you want to use thick poha or gatti avalakki, then make a fine powder of it, soak it for few minutes if needed and then continue with this recipe.

You can find different akki rotti recipes on this website like akki rotti with onion, akki rotti with dill leaves and avarekalu akki rotti recipes.

You can also find plain rotti or roti recipes on this website like plain akki rotti, jolada rotti, ragi rotti and akki rotti using left over rice recipes.

I have also made a video on this masale avalakki rotti recipe with Kannada narration and English subtitles, which I have embedded it below. Please have a look. If you are looking for more Karnataka style breakfast recipes then do visit our "breakfast recipes" section.
